Danny Glover leads a first-rate ensemble cast in this fable about the birth of rock ‘n’ roll in 1950's Alabama.
He plays the proprietor of the Honeydripper Lounge, who is deep in debt and losing customers. Desperate to bring back the crowds he hires famous Blues man Guitar Sam for a one night only gig to save the club.
It’s a beautifully atmospheric film, rich with period detail and flowing with blues, jazz and early rock & roll.
